Our Future Dreams Are Becoming Present-Day Reality

Since we created Authentic Leaders, so many beautiful things have happened for the global LGBTQ+ community.

10 bold, open-hearted countries have legalised same-sex marriage since 2020 — and counting.

71 countries worldwide now prohibit workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation, 41 on the basis of gender quality, and another 18 on gender characteristics. We’re also heartened by the 14 nations who ban workplace discrimination based on sex characteristics. 

And some of the world’s leading law and social justice organisations now closely monitor the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ people. For example, UCLA’s Williams Institute reports on the social acceptance of LGBTI people in 175 countries.

Not everything is perfect — we try to peek out from behind our rose-colored glasses and see the world for what it is. But approaching these wonderful improvements in queer inclusion with positivity is the best way to help nurture them.

And it’s the best way to nurture ourselves.

The Authentic Leaders Program (ALP) is a transformative 6-month journey towards personal acceptance, development of core values, and embracing your true potential.

Our courageous program participants shatter the LGBTQ+ glass ceiling by conquering the 3 Ps — perfectionism, people-pleasing and pretending. 

They explore divergent thinking, cure their burnout, dare to put their hands up, make meaningful connections, and break free from the self-doubt that holds them back.

Hundreds of fearless, inspiring queer leaders proudly call themselves ALP Graduates. They’ve grown to hold some of the most impactful positions in their companies, in the community and within their valuable inner circles.

Our purpose: a caring world connected by pride, both in ourselves and each other.

We don’t stop being LGBTQ+ when the work day is done. Nor should we “clock into work and clock out of being gay”. 

A truly fulfilled LGBTQ+ leader must be free and empowered to live authentically at all times. It’s vital that Authentic Leaders supports our queer family in every aspect of their lives.

Living an authentic life as an openly queer person isn’t a “one size fits all” mission. Whether trans, queer, questioning, non-binary or any color of the Pride rainbow, you deserve the right to live your truth with peace, comfort and joy.

Maybe you want to volunteer with an international human rights group. Perhaps you want to spread love in a local queer choir or performing arts group. Or maybe you just want to talk openly about your partner with mom and dad.

These are all equally valid and equally beautiful goals for living your authentic truth. And we are here to support yours with fierce courage and true joy.

As we finish this article, the brand new Authentic Leaders website is about to go live. It’s a thrilling moment for us — we’re nervous, we’re excited, and we can’t wait to explode this new venture of love on the world.

Our new website is a platform. Not just for us, but for the queer community. It’s a community gathering place, a hub for LGBTQ+ thought leadership, a beacon of LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, and a space for fierce queer leaders, advocates and allies to exchange support.

We’re also about to reveal one of our most exciting partnerships to date. It’s a commitment to the workplace inclusion of queer leaders throughout Asia-Pacific and Australia, and a testament to what the LGBTQ+ community can accomplish together.
